Who are we?

Who We Are

Taylor’s Harvest: Serving People. Restoring Hope. Spreading God’s Love.

Taylor’s Harvest is a faith-based nonprofit organization founded by Pastor Taylor McKelphin in April 2024 with a simple but powerful mission: to love people, serve people, and remind people that they are not forgotten.

What began with a heart to serve has grown into a community-driven movement dedicated to meeting people where they are—especially individuals and families experiencing homelessness, poverty, hardship, isolation, and difficult seasons of life.

At Taylor’s Harvest, we believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and treated with dignity. We don’t believe that someone’s current circumstances determine their worth. We believe that behind every person is a story, a struggle, a dream, and a purpose.

That is why we show up.

More Than a Meal

Every week, Taylor’s Harvest works to provide meals and essential resources to people in need within our community. We serve individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity, providing food, clothing, personal care items, and other necessities whenever resources allow.

But we know that hunger is not always just about food.

Sometimes people are hungry for hope.

Sometimes they are hungry for opportunity.

Sometimes they are hungry for someone to believe in them.

Sometimes they simply need someone to say, “I see you. You matter. And you don’t have to walk through this alone.”

That is where our work goes beyond the meal.

Taylor’s Harvest seeks to connect people with resources and opportunities that can help them take their next step forward. This includes helping individuals pursue employment opportunities, connecting people to housing resources, providing practical assistance, and creating opportunities for people to rebuild stability in their lives.

We don’t simply want to help someone survive another day.

We want to help people believe that tomorrow can be different.

Faith at the Heart of Everything We Do

Taylor’s Harvest was built on faith.

We believe that serving our community is more than an act of charity—it is an opportunity to demonstrate the love of God through our actions.

Our faith teaches us to love our neighbors, care for those who are hurting, feed those who are hungry, encourage those who are discouraged, and stand beside people who may feel forgotten or overlooked.

We don’t believe faith should only be talked about inside four walls.

We believe faith should be lived.

That means taking our faith into the streets, into our communities, and into the places where people are hurting.

Through prayer, encouragement, worship, conversation, outreach, and service, we create spaces where people can encounter God’s love without judgment or condemnation.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to be welcomed here.

You don’t have to have the perfect story.

You don’t have to look a certain way.

You don’t have to come from a certain background.

You simply have to be human.

No Judgment. Just Love.

One of the things that makes Taylor’s Harvest different is our commitment to loving people without allowing circumstances, appearance, background, mistakes, or socioeconomic status to determine how we treat them.

We understand that people are often judged before anyone takes the time to know their story.

Someone may look at a person experiencing homelessness and only see homelessness.

We see a person.

Someone may look at someone struggling with addiction, unemployment, poverty, incarceration, family problems, or other challenges and only see their circumstances.

We believe there is more to their story.

At Taylor’s Harvest, we are committed to creating an environment where people can come as they are and experience compassion, dignity, respect, and genuine community.

We don’t ask, “What happened to you?” before we ask, “How can we help?”

Bringing People Together

Taylor’s Harvest is about community.

We believe there is power when people come together—not because everyone is the same, but because everyone has value.

We bring together people from different backgrounds, neighborhoods, experiences, ages, cultures, and walks of life with one common purpose:

to love, serve, encourage, and uplift one another.

Our outreach is a reminder that community still matters.

We believe in showing up for one another.

We believe in sharing what we have.

We believe in feeding people.

We believe in helping people find opportunities.

We believe in praying with people.

We believe in laughing together, crying together, worshiping together, and simply sitting with someone who needs a listening ear.

Most importantly, we believe that nobody should have to feel invisible.

Meeting People Where They Are

We understand that everyone doesn’t need the same kind of help.

For one person, it may be a hot meal.

For another, it may be a pair of shoes or clean clothes.

For someone else, it may be assistance finding employment or navigating housing resources.

Sometimes it may simply be a conversation.

And sometimes, the greatest thing we can offer someone is hope.

Taylor’s Harvest strives to meet people where they are while helping them take meaningful steps toward where they want to be.

We don’t promise that one meal will change someone’s entire life.

But we believe that one meal can open the door to a conversation.

One conversation can create connection.

Connection can create opportunity.

Opportunity can create change.

And change can create a completely different future.

Our Vision

Our vision is to build communities where people are not defined by what they lack, but empowered by what they can become.

We envision a world where homelessness is met with compassion rather than judgment.

Where hunger is met with a meal.

Where unemployment is met with opportunity.

Where someone searching for housing is met with resources and support.

Where someone who feels forgotten is reminded that they matter.

Where people of faith don’t just talk about love—but demonstrate it.

And where communities come together to say:

“You are not alone.”

The Harvest Is Bigger Than Us

Taylor’s Harvest is not just about one person, one church, or one organization.

The Harvest belongs to all of us.

Every volunteer who gives their time.

Every donor who gives financially.

Every person who prepares or serves a meal.

Every organization that partners with us.

Every person who shares our mission.

Every individual who receives help.

Every person who chooses to love instead of judge.

Together, we become part of something bigger than ourselves.

We believe there is a harvest of hope waiting to be gathered in our communities—and we are committed to doing our part.

This Is Taylor’s Harvest

We are here to serve.

We are here to love.

We are here to feed.

We are here to encourage.

We are here to connect people with resources.

We are here to create opportunities.

We are here to pray.

We are here to listen.

We are here to show up.

And we are here to remind people that their circumstances do not erase their value.

No matter what you look like.
No matter where you come from.
No matter what you’ve been through.
No matter what you’re facing today.

There is still hope.

There is still purpose.

There is still community.

And there is still love.

Welcome to Taylor’s Harvest.

Where we don’t just serve a community—we become community.

Serving people. Restoring hope. Spreading God’s love.
